(Not that I ever doubted that he would be in it, thanks to a reply that I received from Twitter.)
Being a Vergil fan girl, I did have a bit of a ‘Wtf?’ moment (and also had a few opinions ripped to shreds) but now I’ve watched the trailer a few times, I’m now ‘sitting on the fence’ it’s best to as:
1, you don’t get your opinion torn to shreds by *insert word
here*
2. It’s only a trailer
NT and Capcom originally depicted Vergil as a guy in the mask. He has now been revealed to be the Leader of ‘TheOrder’. He apparently hates demons and is a millionaire.
No doubt Dante’s got some hard feelings (and no doubt questions) about their difference in upbringing (Dante, who was in and out of care, and Vergil who lived in the lap of luxury.)
Kat works for the Order (as we already know) and takes Dante to meet him.
Vergil is more ‘talkative’ and introduces himself to Dante (inthe most polite manner). Vergil tells Dante that he won’t really remember him (most likely as they were separated from a young age). Dante ends up working for The Order and fighting beside Vergil.
Vergil does end up arguing with Dante as he decides to rescue Kat when she gets hurt (trying to protect the brothers).
At the end of the trailer, Vergil relents and tells Dante that they should do things his way.
(Oh and someone gets crushed by a huge demon... that’s when the trailer really ends.)
To be honest, I gave it some thought a time ago and that is a little how I imagined the new Vergil to be.
He still carries Yamato (if it’s not called that, the weapon is still a Katana or O-Katana).
other.)
According to some sites, Vergil may even be a playable character.
I don’t intend to pre-order the game yet as I think that it is too early. However, I intend to have it for a review.
