According to psntrophyleaders, it took me 39 minutes and 20 seconds (PS5 version).
Originally released 32 years ago on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The game is a gem, as well as a bit of an oddball. It's a side scrolling shooter, with some very interesting enemy designs. Admittedly, if I played this game as a kid, I would've been scarred for life just by the enemy designs. As an adult, it's still pretty freaky. As a form of pixel art, it's fascinating. The next morning, I completed the PS4 version. Sadly, it took a little longer than I wanted it to. Which was in 52 minutes and 22 seconds. Now that all of the trophies that are unlocked, I'm finding little replay value. Plus, the Platinum trophies in both versions are super easy to get. I know how that sounds, but I do recommend it (especially if you're a trophy chaser - No offense). However, buy it when it's on sale (which is what I did). Score: 4/5 (originally written back in September '23 - Posted 8/12/23) As you may know (if you've been here before , that is). I had a couple of PitaPata tickers on this page. One was for a cat (Tom) which died way back in 2009, and the other tracked the age of the cat (Tilly) that we had after.
Today, I've come on here to find that they've stopped working. So I went to see if there is a problem with the site. I've just learned that PitaPata was closed down last year, although the trackers on my site have only seemed to have stopped working quite recently. I'm pretty disappointed. They reminded me of why I'm still here, and why I do what I do - Whether it be art, or gaming. They say that everything is on the internet forever... ...No. Not everything. I've just been looking around the web to find release dates to add to this page (Hi, by the way). Back on October 6, 2022, Crystal Dynamics released a survey asking fans about reviving the Legacy of Kain series. A month on, and I've only just found out about it. I was expecting most (if not all) of the dedicated LoK fan groups to have been shouting about this from the rooftops. But it just floated by like a tiny fart. No sound, no smell... Nothing. It's pretty f*cking infuriating really. I found the article about the survey on Gamespot. There is a link on the Gamestop page, but it just takes you to a page where it says: There is nothing about this on their (Crystal Dynamics) Social Media. Unless there is on Twitter. 'Cause EVERYONE uses Twitter... Right...?... NO! They don't!
Here's a link to the article, if you want to check it out for yourself: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/crystal-dynamics-is-testing-the-waters-for-a-new-legacy-of-kain/1100-6508082/ ...Wow... What a way to return... XD Hi.
I'm still around. At the moment, I'm working on other things. When you start seeing stuff being rearranged again, you'll know I'm back for good. Thank you for your patience. VeeBee15 Hi.
Yes I am still here and no, I have forgotten about re-arranging the site. I thought by updating the release and wishlists, you'd see that I was still lurking. Although, I must admit, I have no idea which post I stopped re-arranging on. :/ lol I'll be back re-arranging in the new year. As for now, I wish you a Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays) and a Happy New Year. Thanks for reading, VeeBee15 This is the second attempt for typing this post.
So, yes, I am still here. I've been keep my lists up to date, but I haven't been gaming very often. I'm either doing 3D stuff, surfing the net, sleeping, watching TV, etc. So, you will already have seen a few changes at the top of the site. I'll explain what these changes mean. VeeBee15's Gaming Diary (Blog): As you've already seen, I post what I have been getting up to instead of reviews. I find gaming diary posts a lot easy to write than reviews. I also write about other things (maybe rant a little). But I hope to keep it (mostly) about gaming. Reviews Blog: Hopefully, every review will be moved or re-posted in this section of the blog. Plus, if I do get back to reviewing, this is where reviews will be posted in the future. I seem to remember doing a review of a CD a few years ago, so it may not be all about gaming (hence, why it's called an Entertainment and Gaming blog ^^). Gaming News Blog: I hope to move (or re-post) every bit of gaming news to this area of the blog and post any other bits of gaming news in the future. My Top Picks: Will stay the same. I'll add some more games to the lists at some point. The links to reviews on this page (My Top Picks) will have to be changed if I'm moving things around. Collections: Will also stay the same. If you "hover" over the "Collections" link/button. You'll get a drop down menu. It's still all under construction, but a new page has been added, "Used to Own". Nothing has been added to this page (as of yet), but I hope to at some point. I'm looking forward to see how this is going to turn out. It could go smoothly (yeah, right), or I could fudge up the whole blog. Thanks for reading, VeeBee15. It's been quite a while since I've posted. In that time, I've had plenty of personal problems, upgraded computer(s) to Windows 10. Clean installed Windows 10 on said computer(s). Installed PS4 Remote Play. Completed a couple of games. Slept, ate, drank, whinged, worried, panicked, created scenes in modelling programs, watched television and slept a bit more. I've found Windows 10 to be a complete pain in the butt. The amount of cr@p (a.k.a. Bloatware) that I've had to clear from my machine(s) is/was absolutely ridiculous. I did have a peculiar thing happen to a computer a few weeks ago. I noticed that a lot of memory/RAM was being used up, even when no programs were running. I talked about it on a forum. The guys & gals on there were really helpful. They told me to remove the RAM sticks, then try each separately to see which one is the problem. Initially, I was worried that I could mess the machine up. But, when I watched a video on Youtube, I "bit the bullet" and dived in. I couldn't remove the RAM. But, I did "jiggle" the RAM about in the slots. The RAM problem is now fixed. Later that evening, I learnt that the RAM would have locks either side of the slots. It's a bit of info that would've helped, before I removed the cover of the computer. There is a bite in the arse to this, as the computer I'm using now, has a CPU problem (but I'm pretty sure I know what it is). Back on topic. I've installed PS4 Remote Play on a machine. Which means I have been gaming a lot more than usual. In the past couple of weeks, I've completed The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead Season 2. Don't give me that attitude. I know it's not impressive. To be honest, I wasn't going to go near The Walking Dead Season 2 (for very stupid, personal reasons). But, because of those "very, stupid personal reasons", I wanted to get through it, and get it off my PS4. Don't get me wrong, The Walking Dead is an interesting series from Telltale Games, but it's not one that I'll be returning to with the release of Season 3. However, The Wolf Among Us is (quite literally) an entirely different beast. I love Bigby Wolf, I love the graphics and I love the story. Now that I've finished The Wolf Among Us, I've started Uncharted 4. Although, I'll probably go back to Tearaway Unfolded. I just wish Remote play had been available for the PS3. I had started a blog entry about going back to Pokemon Yellow (seeing that Red, Blue and Yellow were re-released on the 3DS last year), but I never finished it. I haven't played Pokemon GO! Not out of choice, but because my phone isn't compatible... Initially, I was disappointed. But now, not so much. Hopefully, I'll get around to completing a few more games this year, along with posting more on here (don't hold your breath though ;) ). TL;DR? I'm back :P Life's crap, and no, I'm not changing the header of the blog. I love Razelim (or Razielim). This arrived on Monday (a day before the Tuesday release). I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I did take pictures of the game and its contents when I opened it. If you didn't know, the Europa Version is only avaliable in Europe (which surprised me). I would've bought the original, had the Remastered version not been announced/release. So, because I haven't played the original, I'm looking forward to trying the remastered version. I'm intrigued that members of your army can be affected by the environment. You can't stick a fighter with Hay-fever in a grassy area, otherwise it will affect their stats. I found the idea hilarious*, but pretty ingenious at the same time. Apologies, but some photos may be "shaky". I'm also testing out the Gallery feature on this post. *I know that hay-fever isn't funny, I suffer with it myself. I'm not sure if I'll be doing a review on the game. But at least I'm still here and I'm still gaming...
Hello? Yes, I'm talking to you....
Hi! So I have returned from the depths... Buuut, an eight month hiatus I really can't excuse. I must admit, I am finding it really hard to write stuff (reviews and thoughts) so other people can understand. Although, I have been keeping my lists on the side bar up-to-date (or as up-to-date as possible). So, what have I been doing in the past eight months? The simple answer... Existing. However, between the rendering and the fragrant BS that is my life, I'm am still gaming. I got my first Platinum Trophy. The game that I completed was Tearaway (PS Vita). Unsurprisingly, I pre-ordered and downloaded Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. The game took two days to download. It turned out that I wasn't the only person having downloading problems. Someone who was downloading Batman Arkham Knight was given a downloading time of 99+ hours. I have been playing DMC4:SE. Although Nero yelling "Kyrie", Nero's existence and, DMC4's story still bugs the heck out of me though. The reason that I bought it? I wanted to play as Vergil... Speaking of all things Devil May Cry. DmC: Definitive Edition was also released earlier this year. I quite liked it when I played it first time around (back on the Xbox 360 and PS3). But two years of constant bitching, whinging and moaning from "fans" took it's toll and ruined the whole game. I've yet to complete the first play through on PS4. A few months ago, I bought a Wii U. It was mainly just to play Bayonetta 2... Which was awesome. The games' main focus is the story as to how Father Balder (Bayonetta's Father) became the bad guy in the first game. I say bad guy... He could've been evil, mad, insane... That's down to you to decide. I also tried the Sonic Boom demo for the Wii U... I can see why there are very few people who actually like it. I'm on the look out for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the Wii U. But the game is pretty expensive pre-owned/second hand, so I don't expect to get it anytime soon. I've tried to get into the Resident Evil series. I decided to talk to a friend regarding the Resident Evil Remake. It sounded pretty intriguing. European PSN had a Resident Evil sale quite a few months ago and I decided to get the majority of games that they had (apart from Resident Evil Revelations 2). I still haven't managed to download the PS3 games, but I have been playing the remake on PS4. I'm still collecting gaming Merchandise. I have started to collect Hatsune Miku Chibi figures. I have several figures, but none are on display because I have no room. I've also gone back to collecting Power Rangers memorabilia. My Devil May Cry collection has also expanded. It now has Nero ArtFX statue which I won in an auction on eBay (although he doesn't have any of his weapons... apart from Dante's Ivory Handgun). I did contact Kotobukiya to see if the weapons could be ordered (I even offered them money), but I never received a reply. And yesterday I added another Dante figure to the collection. The figure was announced seven years ago, but was never released. Until January this year. It's Dante from Devil May Cry (the first game), and comes with Ebony & Ivory, Shotgun, Alastor, two weapon "blasts" and extra hand(s). It's presented neatly, but I prefer (look-wise) Yamato's version of that Dante. I still say there should be a Nelo Angelo figure...With either a removable helmet or an extra head, which you can swap to make him look like Vergil (just like the third Nelo fight in the first game). That'd be epic. Well, this is starting to become an essay. So I better leave it there. I really want to get back into writing on this blog. *Fingers crossed* it won't take me another eight months to update it. I'm not sure about reviews. But I'd like to do a "gaming diary thing". Especially seeing that I'm going to upgrade my PS4's HDD myself (which should be a little hilarious... or maybe not). If you've been patiently waiting for my return, then Thank you. I'm now going off to do some "real life stuff"... Tatty~Bye VeeBee15 |
